Paul was raised near Houston, Texas until he was in high school. He attended schools in Texas, Colorado and Utah, and served for two years as a missionary in Spain. He then received a Bachelor’s degree in Public Relations from Utah State University in Logan, Utah.

He began his banking career in Brigham City, Utah in 1975. After thirty-five years in lending and management, he went into private consulting. For three years he affiliated with the accounting firm of Stewart, Archibald, and Barney, where he lead the firm’s development efforts. He recently came back to his roots when he joined Bank of George as Senior Vice President – Asset Development Manager.

Over the years, Paul has been a boy scout leader, has taught religious instruction to high school students as well as banking classes for the American Institute of Banking and the College of Southern Nevada.

His past involvement in the community includes his service as president of Business Watch Network and the Paradise Valley Lions Club, as well as president of the board of SafeNest, a domestic abuse agency.

He currently serves as a member of the executive board of the Las Vegas Area Council of the Boy Scouts of America and Police Athletic League of Southern Nevada.

He has served for 15 years on the Governor’s Commission on Nuclear Projects and for seven years on the City of Las Vegas Audit Oversight Committee.
